Aphasia Support Group

The HealthSouth Scottsdale Aphasia Support Group is a social support group attended by those with communication difficulties. 

The group is designed to provide people in the community that have aphasia with the opportunity to communicate in a supportive and non-judgemental environment.  This group meets every Thursday at 10 a.m. in conference room 2.

Arthritis Pool Program

The Arthritis Pool Program is a recreational exercise class designated for people with Arthritis. The program provides an opportunity for people with Arthritis to meet others with Arthritis, and to have fun while getting fit.

Class 1: Monday - Wednesday - Friday 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., $7.00 per class or $45.00 per month
Class 2: Tuesday - Thursday 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. $7.00 per class or $35.00 per month

Parkinson's Aquatic Class

This class is designed for people with Parkinson’s disease who would like to be able to do their exercises in a safe, water environment. Benefits of aquatic exercise include improved balance, flexibility, strength and endurance.

A prescription is required to attend the class. For more information and application forms, please contact Melinda Theobald at (480) 551-5423.

Parkinson's Support Group for the recently diagnosed

HealthSouth Scottsdale is partnering with the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and Movement Disorders Clinic and offering a monthly Parkinson's Support Group for the recently diagnosed.

This group of individuals with Parkinson's disease and their care givers enjoy monthly guest speakers and discussion.  The monthly topics are related to interests and concerns specific to individuals who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease within the past 5 years.
